Carefully designed interfaces, dependencies kept to what is needed and behaviour verified before release. Every product starts from a problem observed in the field, often during Shopify projects.

Products start from a problem observed in Shopify projects: a repetitive task, an obligation that forces people into spreadsheets, a function the theme does not offer. First the minimum useful scope is defined, then it is developed, then its behaviour is verified in real conditions before release.

The criterion is to keep the interface simple and dependencies few: fewer components mean fewer points of failure and more predictable maintenance.

Shopify apps use the platform’s own tools: embedded apps, Theme App Extensions, APIs and webhooks. For consumer apps the current focus is the Apple ecosystem. Web apps follow the same criteria: ease of use, few components, verified behaviour.

A published app covers a common need and installs from the Shopify App Store. Custom development is for when a store’s process is specific: integrations with management systems or external services, particular logic, theme extensions.

Embedded apps, Theme App Extensions, Liquid sections, and integrations through APIs and webhooks are delivered through IFG eCommerce, with a preliminary analysis before development.
